Chapter 83(1 / 1)

I'm not playing with you.

You're just playing me!

Tu Bai opened his eyes and stared at the ceiling for a few seconds.

Two Gojo Satorus. Arguing again.

He sighed, got up, walked to the Window, looked outside the window.

On the Training Ground, two silver-haired figures stood facing each other. One wore a black Jujutsu High Uniform, while the other wore ordinary casual clothes. One was hot-headed, while the other was helpless and had a headache.

Several people were standing around—Geto Suguru, Ieiri Shoko, a few other Students.

Principal Yaga stood to the side, his face grim.

Gojo! Everyone, stop!

No one paid him any mind.

High School Gojo raised his hand, the attraction of Blue erupted in an instant. Teacher Gojo dodged to the side, using the repulsion of Red in a counterattack to push him back.

Is that all you've got?" High School Gojo provoked, "My future self is just this much?

A vein throbbed on High School Gojo's temple.

Brat, has anyone ever told you how much you ask for a beating?

The two were about to start fighting again.

Yaga finally lost his patience. He rushed forward and pinned the two of them down, one in each hand.

Everyone, calm down!

Two Gojo Satorus were being held down in place at the same time; one was still struggling, while the other had already given up.

Tu Bai watched this scene and couldn't help but chuckle.

Then he turned around, washed up, changed his clothes, pushed the door open to head out.

---

Ieiri Shoko's infirmary is located in the east of the Campus, in a separate small building.

When Tu Bai knocked and entered, Ieiri Shoko was sitting at the desk flipping through a book. He glanced up at him and closed the book.

You're here?

Yeah." Tu Bai sat down by the desk. "Senpai asked me to come and perform an examination.

Ieiri Shoko nodded, stood up, walked over to the bedside examination bed.

Lie down.

Tu Bai lay down on the Bed.

Ieiri Shoko first measured his blood pressure, listened to his heartbeat, then reached out to press his hand against his abdomen.

His hand was very cold, Tu Bai flinched when she pressed it against him.

"Don't move," Ieiri Shoko said.

He closed his eyes, as if sensing something.

After a few seconds, she opened his eyes and looked at Tu Bai.

This thing inside your Belly," she said, "the Energy is very special.

Tu Bai's Heartbeat skipped a beat.

It's different from an ordinary fetus," Ieiri Shoko continued in a calm tone, "But it is indeed alive, with its own Energy Fluctuation.

Tu Bai said nothing.

Ieiri Shoko withdrew his hand and wrote something on the Note beside him.

There are no major problems with his body," he said. "His Demon Power consumption is quite high, so he needs more rest. This child.. his condition is relatively stable.

He paused, then looked at Tu Bai.

Did you know about its situation before?

Tu Bai nodded.

Ieiri Shoko did not ask any more questions. He put the paper away, walked back to the desk, sat down.

Alright, you can get up now.

Tu Bai sat up and straightened his clothes. He looked at Ieiri Shoko, hesitated for a moment, then spoke up to ask:

Don't you.. think it's strange?

Ieiri Shoko glanced at him.

What's so strange?

This." Tu Bai pointed to his belly. "A man, pregnancy.

Ieiri Shoko fell silent for a few seconds, then said:

You're from the future, aren't you?

Tu Bai nodded.

I shouldn't ask too much about the future," Ieiri Shoko said. "And besides.." He paused, "You are one of Gojo's people. If he trusts you, I trust you.

Tu Bai was stunned.

Ieiri Shoko lowered his head and continued flipping through the book, as if trying to drive the guest away.

Go back and rest. Don't run around, don't get worked up; that thing is unstable.

Tu Bai stood up, walked to the Doorway, turned back to take another look at him.

Ieiri Shoko did not look up, merely flipping through the pages of the book.

Tu Bai pushed the door open and went out.

---

It was very quiet in the Campus.

Tu Bai walked slowly along the path. On both sides were ancient buildings, in that style unique to Jujutsu High, much like those in his memory, just a bit more modern.

He walked to a Big Tree and stopped to catch his breath.

My Demon Power consumption has indeed been a bit high lately; I get tired after just a few steps.

He sat down on a stone stool Under the tree, placing his hand on his Abdomen and stroking it gently.

That warm mass pulsed gently, as if responding to him.

Footsteps came from the distance.

Tu Bai looked up and saw a person walking over.

Geto Suguru.

His black hair was tied into a half-bun, he wore a Black Jujutsu High Uniform, his hands tucked into his pockets. He walked slowly, as if he were taking a stroll, or perhaps lost in thought.

He saw Tu Bai, was stunned, then walked over to greet him.

Resting here?

"Mm." Tu Bai nodded.

Geto Suguru sat down beside him, leaning against the back of the stone stool, looked up at the Sky.

The two fell silent for a while.

"Did you see those two Gojo Satorus fighting just now?" Geto Suguru suddenly asked.

Tu Bai nodded. "I saw it."

Geto Suguru smiled. "That future Satoru, what is your relationship to him?"

Tu Bai fell silent for a few seconds.

"An important person," he said.

Geto Suguru glanced at him and asked no more.

There was another period of silence.

Tu Bai noticed that Geto Suguru's expression was a bit incorrect. On that gentle face, there was a hint of exhaustion, a hint of annoyance, an indescribable heaviness.

"Are you in a bad mood?" he asked.

Geto Suguru was stunned, then he laughed.

Is it that obvious?

“Yeah.”

Geto Suguru remained silent for a few seconds, then spoke:

I had a mission a few days ago.

Tu Bai said nothing, waiting for him to continue.

It was a very simple mission, just an Exorcism of a Low-grade Cursed Spirit," Geto Suguru said, "but there was a bit of an accident.

He paused.

A few Ordinary Persons were caught up in it. We saved them. But they.." He frowned, "They blamed us for being too slow, saying we delayed on purpose and that they were going to report us.

Tu Bai looked at him.

Geto Suguru continued,

I have a junior named Hai Village. He is very hardworking and wants to become a Sorcerer who can protect Others. He gives his all during every Mission, working so hard that he will even push himself to the point of injury to complete a Mission.

He lowered his head.

I used to always think that with great power comes great responsibility, but now I suddenly wonder, are the people we protect actually worth it?

Tu Bai fell silent.

He thought of the past that Teacher Gojo occasionally mentioned. Geto Suguru, that defector and best friend, the name that made Gojo Satoru fall silent.
