Chapter 123(1 / 1)

Why?

It tickles.

Tu Bai stepped again.

Gojo Satoru grabbed his ankle, his Finger lightly scratched his Palm.

Tu Bai let out a cry of "Ah!" and pulled his foot back with a laugh.

Don't scratch!

Then don't step on me.

I won't step on it, I won't step on it.

Gojo Satoru released his grip, pulled his hand over, interlaced their fingers.

Tu Bai leaned against his shoulder, looking at the TV.

After watching for a while, he let out a yawn.

Sleepy?

A little.

“Then go to sleep.”

I don't want to move.

Gojo Satoru smiled, stood up, picked him up in a bridal carry.

"What are you doing—" Tu Bai was startled and hugged his neck.

Didn't you say you didn't want to move?

Tu Bai blushed and said nothing.

Gojo Satoru carried him toward the Bedroom, leaning down to kiss his forehead.

Goodnight, Xiao Bai.

Tu Bai buried his face in his chest and said muffledly, "Goodnight."

Chapter 66

Tu Bai stared at the Computer Screen, motionless.

On the screen was a Report Card. Japanese Literary History, 58 Points. Beside it was a Red character: Fail.

He stared at it for a full three minutes.

Refresh. Still 58 points. Refresh again. Still 58 points. Turn it off, then turn it back on. 58 points.

Tu Bai leaned back against the chair back, staring at the Ceiling.

In his entire life, he had never failed a course. He never failed in primary school, he never failed in middle school, but once he reached university—he failed.

Gojo Satoru brought a cup of milk out from the Kitchen, seeing him dazing off in front of the Computer, he leaned over to look.

What's wrong? The scores are out?

Tu Bai said nothing.

Gojo Satoru glanced at the screen, then fell silent.

He was quiet for three seconds.

Then he laughed.

He laughed incredibly loudly, laughing so hard his shoulders shook, laughing until tears almost fell from his eyes.

58 points?!" He pointed at the Screen, "Hahahaha, you actually failed?!

Tu Bai's ears turned red in a moment.

What does it have to do with you!

Didn't you say before that your Score was very good?" Gojo Satoru couldn't stop laughing. "Top ten in your year? Scholarships? That's it?

Tu Bai stood up abruptly, his face flushing bright red.

I haven't attended class for half a semester! Getting a 58 is already very good!

Isn't 58 just a failing grade?" Gojo Satoru was still laughing. "A makeup exam? Or a retake? Hahahaha—

Tu Bai kicked out.

Gojo Satoru laughed and dodged, spilling half of the Milk.

Alright, alright, alright, I'll stop laughing, I'll stop laughing—

But he was still laughing.

Tu Bai glared at him, his eyes turning red.

It wasn't because of failing his exams, but because this man was just too much of a jerk.

"Get out," Tu Bai said.

Huh?

Get out!" Tu Bai pushed him outside the door. "You're sleeping on the sofa tonight!

No, I just laughed for a second—

Get out!

Bang. The door closed.

Gojo Satoru stood in the corridor, holding a half-full milk cup, stunned for a few seconds.

Then he knocked on the door.

Xiao Bai?

No one responded.

I was wrong.

Still, no one responded.

Gojo Satoru sighed and turned to walk toward the sofa.

It seems it really isn't something to laugh about.

But a Score of 58 is really hilarious.

Day 2 Morning, Gojo Satoru thought the matter was over.

He bought Tu Bai's favorite Mango Cake and, after opening the door, prepared to apologize.

Tu Bai sat on the Sofa, holding his Mobile Phone, his expression very calm.

Xiao Bai?

Yeah.

About what happened yesterday—

It's fine," Tu Bai said. "I'm not angry anymore.

Gojo Satoru breathed a sigh of relief and placed the cake on the Coffee Table.

Then how about some Cake?

I don't want to eat it.

Gojo Satoru was stunned. He doesn't even want to eat Mango Cake?

He looked at Tu Bai's face. His expression was indeed very calm, but that kind of calmness was incorrect. It wasn't true calmness; it was something being suppressed.

Gojo Satoru didn't think much of it.

In the afternoon, he went to Jujutsu High to handle some matters, when he returned in the evening, Tu Bai was already asleep.

Day 2, it was still like this.

Tu Bai ate normally, spoke normally, used his Mobile Phone normally. But something was just not right. He lacked spirit and had no energy for anything. He wouldn't eat Cake, wouldn't play Games, didn't even spare a glance when Gojo Satoru intentionally changed his Clothes in front of him.

Gojo Satoru began to feel that something was incorrect.

Day 3, it became even more serious.

Tu Bai sat by the Window, dazing off and looking at the trees outside for half an hour. When Gojo Satoru called to him, he gave an "mm" in response and continued looking.

Gojo Satoru walked over and sat beside him.

Xiao Bai?

Yeah.

Still thinking about failing your exams?

Tu Bai said nothing.

It's only a score of 58, just take a makeup exam.

Tu Bai remained silent.

It's not even a big deal—

“It's certainly not a big deal to you.” Tu Bai spoke suddenly, his voice somewhat muffled, "You don't have to go to school anyway."

Gojo Satoru fell silent.

Since I was a child," Tu Bai said, "I have never failed a single exam.

Gojo Satoru looked at him.

In elementary school, I was always in the top five of my class for every exam. The same went for middle school. When I was taking the entrance exam for the University of Tokyo, I studied for an entire half-year, studying until midnight every single day.

He paused.

As a result, this semester, I didn't even finish my classes. During the exams, half of the questions on the exam paper looked familiar, but I couldn't remember them.
