Chapter 139(1 / 1)

Tu Bai was stunned. He stopped in his tracks, looking at Gojo Satoru. "You saw it?"

I saw it.

Then what were you—what were you thinking about then?

Gojo Satoru looked down at him. The sunset shone on his face, warm light reflected in his Blue Eyes. "I was thinking, this person's eyes are truly beautiful."

Tu Bai's face turned red again. "Just that?"

I do," Gojo Satoru said. "Eyes as beautiful as these should be staring at me forever.

Tu Bai said nothing. After a while, he buried his face into Gojo Satoru's chest and said muffledly, "Me too."

“Hmm?”

The first time I saw you. You pulled down your Black Blindfold, I saw your eyes." He paused, "I was also thinking, if only I could keep looking at you forever.

Gojo Satoru laughed. He hugged Tu Bai tightly, his chin resting on the top of his head.

Aren't you just staring at it all the time now?

Tu Bai curled the corner of his mouth. "Mm."

The two stood downstairs, embracing for a long time. A passing neighbor glanced at them, smiled, walked past. Tu Bai let go and tugged at Gojo Satoru's sleeve.

Let's go home.

"Okay," Gojo Satoru said, taking his hand.

The sunset had fallen, leaving only a hint of orange-red on the horizon. The two of them slowly walked into the building, with the quiet evening and the darkening sky behind them.

Chapter 75

Tu Bai didn't actually quite understand how it happened.

That day, they went to investigate an abandoned Shrine, as it was said there might be a reaction from a Special Grade Cursed Object. Gojo Satoru walked in front, with Tu Bai following behind. The Shrine was not large, a Dusty Box was enshrined within the Main Hall. Gojo Satoru reached out to touch it, Tu Bai also reached out to touch it. Then, a White Light flashed, both of them simultaneously felt the world spinning around them.

When Tu Bai opened his eyes again, what he saw was the ceiling. The wooden beams of the Shrine were covered in a thick layer of dust. He pushed himself up from the floor to sit, feeling that something was incorrect.

The hands were incorrect.

His fingers weren't this long, his knuckles weren't this prominent, his skin tone wasn't this white. He looked down at himself, wearing a Black Jujutsu High Uniform with the collar open, revealing his collarbone. His chest was flat and wide. He reached out to touch his own face and felt a Black Blindfold.

A blindfold?

He froze for three seconds, then suddenly stood up.

Too high.

His usual perspective was not like this. Now he felt like a tree, his line of sight much higher than usual. He stumbled, almost falling.

"Senpai?" he called out, but his voice was wrong—it was too low, too heavy; it wasn't his voice.

"Mm." A Voice came from behind him; it was his Voice.

Tu Bai turned back.

He saw himself.

To be precise, it was Gojo Satoru standing there using his body. Black curly hair, red eyes, a bit shorter than him. Wearing the white hoodie and jeans he wore when he went out today, the sleeves were a bit long, covering half of his fingers. That man was looking down at his own hands, turning them over and over, then he looked up and smiled at him.

That smile was too familiar to Tu Bai. But seeing it appear on his own face felt very strange.

"It seems we've swapped," Gojo Satoru said, using Tu Bai's voice, but the tone was Gojo's—lazy and tinged with playfulness.

Tu Bai opened his mouth, not knowing what to say. He looked down at his hands—Gojo Satoru's hands. Then he looked up at that person opposite him—his own face.

"How do I change back?" he asked.

I don't know," Gojo Satoru said casually. "Let's go back first and figure it out slowly.

He took his Mobile Phone out of his pocket, wanting to check the time. Then he was Stunned. "What is your Mobile Phone password?"

Tu Bai said four numbers. Gojo Satoru entered them, the screen lit up. He glanced at it, the corner of his mouth curling upward. "Is the wallpaper me?"

Tu Bai blushed, reaching out to try and snatch back his Mobile Phone, ".. Don't look."

When did you take this? It looks pretty good." Gojo Satoru dodged Tu Bai's reaching hand, tucked the Mobile Phone away, then grabbed his hand. "Let's go.

Tu Bai was being led away by him. Gojo Satoru's hand was small and soft now, holding it in his palm felt strange. But what was even stranger was his own hand—Gojo Satoru's hands were large, with long fingers and well-defined knuckles. He stared at that hand for a while, a question suddenly came to mind.

Senpai, your Six Eyes..

It's on you." Gojo Satoru turned back to glance at him. "How does it feel?

Only then did Tu Bai notice that the way he saw things had changed. The world had become clearer, the colors more vivid, the light sharper. He could see the subtle flow of Cursed Energy in the air, the veins of every leaf on a distant tree, the trajectories of dust floating in the air. It was too much, too clear; he felt his brain buzzing.

"My head hurts a little," he said.

Gojo Satoru stopped in his tracks and turned to look at him. His expression changed, no longer wearing that playful smirk from before, but turning into an expression Tu Bai rarely saw on his face—heartache.

"Do you feel like there's a lot of information spinning around in your brain?" he asked.

Tu Bai nodded.

It's a side effect of the Six Eyes," Gojo Satoru said. "It automatically collects all the information in its surroundings; there is no switch, it can't be turned off. It's very uncomfortable at first, but you'll get used to it.

Tu Bai was stunned. "So you're like this every day?"

Yeah.

Always?

Always.

Tu Bai fell silent for a while. He remembered how Gojo Satoru always looked lazy on a regular basis, how he always wore sunglasses or a blindfold wherever he went, how he would even cover his eyes when he slept. Before, he thought it was just a habit, or perhaps to act cool. Now he knew.

It was so the Six Eyes wouldn't get too tired. It was also because he didn't want to see too many things.

"Senpai," Tu Bai said.

Hmm?

You've worked hard.

Gojo Satoru was stunned for a moment, then he smiled. He smiled with Tu Bai's face, his eyes curving into crescents, looking very beautiful. "It's not hard work. I'm used to it."

Tu Bai said nothing more, only gripped Gojo Satoru's hand.

Upon returning home, Tu Bai decided to cook a meal for Gojo Satoru.

He was inside Gojo Satoru's body, he could feel that this body consumed a vast amount of energy. The Six Eyes were constantly operating, Cursed Energy flowed through the body, as if it were burning through energy. Gojo Satoru ate so many desserts normally; it was likely not just because he liked them, but because he truly needed the replenishment.

He walked into the Kitchen and tied on an Apron. Gojo Satoru's body was too tall; the straps of the Apron tied around his waist were in an Incorrect position. He adjusted them slightly, then took eggs, tomatoes, Noodles out of the Refrigerator.

Making Tomato and Egg Noodles, it was simple.

He turned on the stove, boiled water, sliced the tomatoes. Gojo Satoru's hands were too large and his fingers too long, making the feeling of gripping the knife handle very strange. He sliced them very slowly, afraid of cutting his hand. Once the tomatoes were cut, the water came to a boil, he added the noodles. As the noodles went in, the water bubbled, he turned down the heat.

Then he cracked the eggs.

The egg was cracked into a bowl and stirred with chopsticks. As he was stirring, he felt the heat was too high, so he turned to adjust the flame. After adjusting the heat, he returned to continue stirring and then poured it into the pan.

The oil splashed out.

A drop of oil splashed onto the back of his hand, making him flinch. Then the frying pan began to smoke; he hurriedly turned off the heat, but it was already too late. The oil in the pan ignited, the flames surged high.

“Ah—" Tu Bai took a step back, frantically searching for the pot lid. The lid was on the rack; as he reached for it, his elbow bumped into the nearby spice rack. The spice rack tipped over, various bottles and jars rolled all over the floor. As he bent down to pick them up, his forehead slammed into the open Cabinet Door.

A loud "thud" rang out.

He crouched down, clutching his forehead, the pain nearly bringing tears to his eyes. Gojo Satoru's voice drifted in from the Living Room. "What's wrong?"

It's—it's nothing—

As soon as the words fell, the smoke alarm in the Kitchen went off.

Gojo Satoru ran over and stood at the Kitchen Doorway, looking at the scene inside. The fire in the pot had gone out, but the oil smoke was heavy, the alarm was screaming. Dipping Sauce was scattered all over the Floor, the Cabinet Door was open, Tu Bai was crouching on the Floor, clutching his forehead.

You.." Gojo Satoru held back a laugh, "Are you cooking?

Tu Bai looked up, making a wronged expression on Gojo Satoru's face. "I wanted to make something for you to eat."

Gojo Satoru looked at him, remaining silent for two seconds. Then he walked over and pulled him up from the Floor. He reached out to touch his forehead, feeling the raised bump.

Does it hurt?

.. It hurts.

Gojo Satoru sighed. He turned to turn off the alarm, opened the window to ventilate the room, then picked up his mobile phone to order takeout. "Don't cook anymore. I'll do it."

Tu Bai said nothing more. He leaned against the Kitchen Doorway, watching Gojo Satoru squat down to tidy up the dipping sauce bottles on the Floor. Using his body, Gojo Satoru moved with practiced familiarity, not at all like him, who was completely unaccustomed to everything.

Senpai.

Hmm?

How does it feel, being inside my body?

Gojo Satoru thought about it. "Very light. No burden on the Six Eyes, the brain is very quiet. And.." He stood up, moving his arms, "The jumping ability is very good."

He jumped in place, nearly hitting his head on the ceiling.

Tu Bai was startled. "Be careful—"

It's really good." Gojo Satoru jumped again, controlling his strength this time so his landing was steady. He touched the top of his head. "Can the ears come out?

Give it a try.

Gojo Satoru closed his eyes, after a moment, two Black Rabbit Ears slowly sprouted from the top of his head. They were fluffy and stood straight up.

Tu Bai looked at his own face growing rabbit ears, feeling it was quite wonderful.

Gojo Satoru reached out to touch the ears, his fingers sliding from the base to the tips in a very light motion. The ears twitched, then twitched again. He smiled. "They do twitch."

Of course they'll shake," Tu Bai said. "They are ears.
