Amuro muttered to himself.
It was bad in every sense of the word.
The defeat in battle was already clear, yet in this position, because he had to effectively restrain Amuro's movements, Gin's distance from him.. was actually quite close.
Gin could hear Amuro's breathing, which sounded ragged due to his exhaustion, because they were so close.
Although Gin had won several times, Amuro's strength was also quite impressive; years of experience meant that while Gin did not win with great difficulty, it was by no means easy. At this moment, his breathing was somewhat ragged, sweat had soaked his clothes.
Gin's silver-haired locks were also somewhat disheveled from the previous battle; as he looked down at Amuro, a few strands of his long silver hair slid over his shoulders and fell onto Amuro.
A few strands brushed against his cheek.
It was a bit itchy.
It was also a bit cold.
The blonde-haired youth thought to himself.
Their distance was so close that Amuro could clearly see Gin's eyelashes, long and fine.
A few drops of sweat from the Silver-haired youth's forehead fell lightly onto his eyes, wetting his eyelashes; under the light, Amuro saw tiny, shimmering glints of light hanging from the youth's eyelashes.
Gin also saw that the blonde-haired youth's grayish-purple eyes were filled with the brilliance of the fragmented light.
It was as if starlight had fallen into his eyes.
Scotland, standing to the side, clearly felt the awkward atmosphere; sensing that something was wrong, he hurried over to save the situation.
"Since Gin has won, we've already played several rounds, why don't we call it a day?" He tentatively made a suggestion.
The silver-haired youth averted his gaze, a single "Fine" escaping his beautifully curved lips, while his slightly raised chin exuded a hint of coldness.
He released Amuro and stood up.
..
"Are you training in boxing?" Unexpectedly, the one who spoke first to break the awkward silence after the fight was Gin.
His expression as he spoke was relaxed, his tone calm and even somewhat gentle.
Amuro was still somewhat dazed; he hesitated for a moment before sluggishly making an excuse, "Yes."
The Silver-haired youth's gaze swept over Amuro's long legs, feeling it was a bit of a pity.
In boxing, there are few ways to utilize leg attacks, which can be somewhat disadvantageous in actual combat in this regard.
However, Gin did not offer a reminder; he seemed somewhat lost in thought. His voice remained as low as ever, yet his tone was unusually light, a faint complexity flickered within his green eyes.
I used to have a friend who practiced Taekwondo.
Gin's Green eyes stared at a spot on the stark white wall.
In Japan, Karate is more popular than Taekwondo, which originated on the Korean Peninsula.
However, Karate primarily uses the hands with supplementary kicks, whereas Taekwondo focuses primarily on kicking techniques supplemented by hand strikes.
His hand movements were not good, so she simply played to his strengths and learned Taekwondo.
The silver-haired youth thought about a few things in silence. He curled his lips in a seemingly casual manner, blinked, then turned his head to say to Amuro, "You're quite impressive."
Based on the results of our previous match," Amuro stared at Gin, seemingly trying to discern if he was being sincere or mocking, "saying that is quite ironic!
Not many people can hold their own against me like this," Gin said as if it were a matter of course. "So, what do you think?
Amuro Tooru's lips twitched.
It seemed it wasn't sincerity or sarcasm, but narcissism.
However—
“A friend from before?” The blonde-haired youth's intuition caused him to focus on this unexpected piece of information, while on the other hand—
He was also truly a bit curious.
Gin raised an eyebrow, his original calm and relaxed demeanor slipping away as his expression turned cold. A chill emanated from his green eyes, his voice grew heavy:
Don't ask too many questions about certain things.
Knowing too much will only make your death come faster.
After leaving a warning, Gin picked up his trench coat from the side, hung the black trench coat over his right arm, turned to leave.
Amuro Tooru frowned slightly at his warning; he seemed to have thought of something, gazed blankly at the departing back of the Silver-haired youth.
"What's wrong?" Scotland's voice startled him. Amuro Tooru fell silent for a moment, then shook his head.
It's nothing," the Blonde-haired youth replied. "I just.. thought of something.
"How are your injuries?" Scotland, who had been watching from the side, had clearly seen exactly how his junior was being tormented; while he marveled at Gin's skills, he couldn't help but feel worried for his junior.
After all, several of the blows had landed with full force.
"We didn't engage in any life-and-death struggle; we were just fighting seriously, but the injuries aren't heavy," Amuro briefly explained the situation, his smile faltering slightly.
In front of a trusted senior, even the Top of Police Academy couldn't care about his dignity.
“Takao—I think my hand is dislocated..” He let out a long sigh. “My legs and back took several hits, I was thrown several times. They're definitely going to bruise.. I just don't know if there's anything wrong with my bones..”
Why didn't you say so sooner?!
While listening to his senior's reprimand, Amuro thought with a bitter expression that Gin's strikes were truly heavy..
However—
Since he had already taught him a lesson on the spot, this matter would likely be settled.
Of course, this incident served as a wake-up call for him. There were many capable people within the Black Organization; even though he had graduated as the Top of Police Academy and quickly became an elite in Public Security, he had only been in Public Security for a few years, his life prior to that had always leaned towards comfort.
Facing someone who had truly walked through blood and been on the edge of life and death for several years, he still lacked a certain level of experience.
Amuro Tooru's pride subconsciously reined itself in; he faced the setbacks caused by the Organization member directly, as a result, he dared not be careless.
However—
The blonde-haired youth blinked, his curiosity piqued once again.
I wonder what kind of martial arts he uses..
..
“I heard you went looking for trouble with Bourbon?” Vermouth held a cocktail glass, his slender fingertips painted a brilliant red, looking exceptionally beautiful against the crystal-clear liquid in the glass.
“He has a big mouth himself,” Gin retorted casually, a glass of water sitting before him.
That's right, water.
Amuro's martial arts skills were quite formidable; although he had certainly sustained heavier injuries, Gin was not unscathed either.
It was just that, by comparison, it was much lighter.
He had another mission to go on later, so he decided it was best not to drink for the next couple of days.
"You certainly strike hard~ Wouldn't a little lesson suffice?" Vermouth acted dissatisfied, but from his expression, it was clear she was merely speaking casually.
But then again.. it's not like it was just some casual sparring, or a simple training session or a demonstration match.." Vermouth spoke again. "Even if it wasn't a life-or-death struggle, you were clearly fighting for real—how could there not be some real heat involved?
Gin did not speak.
He said all the good and bad words, he only needed to quietly enjoy his performance.
However, one thing was true: his strikes were indeed heavy—or rather, he couldn't afford to be light on them.
By the way, I've come to see you on serious business.
Gin sneered inwardly, thinking to himself, so you've finally remembered what business you actually have?
Vermouth didn't care about the speechless expression on Gin's face, she curled his lips into a smile. "This batch of Newcomers has some capable ones. Do you have any suggestions regarding their future arrangements?"
"That has nothing to do with me, does it?" Gin looked at Vermouth lazily.
While it may have nothing to do with me, at least one of the Ability Evaluations was under your charge." Vermouth tilted his head; the gesture would have looked playful if a little girl had done it, but coming from the Blonde-haired man, it appeared seductive. "Do you have any suggestions? It's fine if you don't.
Gin thought for a moment and asked in return, "Why are you asking me this specifically?"
The Blonde-haired woman let out a soft laugh. "This batch is full of exceptional talents; their future status will likely be quite high.. I just wanted to ask, do you want to take one or two as your Subordinate? I think their abilities are quite impressive."
The Woman took a sip of liquor and added, "Rye, you've made your own assessment, so there's no need for more; in my view, both Scotland and Bourbon are quite capable."
A strange look flashed in Gin's eyes, he curled his lips into a meaningful, faintly mocking smile. "I don't need it for the time being, but—"
A hint of interest appeared in the Silver-haired youth's eyes, as if he were looking forward to a good show.
Why don't you just let the three of them work together?
?" Vermouth asked in confusion, "Three newcomers working together?
They're all Whisky," Gin's gaze held a hint of innocence. "Wouldn't it be good to form a Whisky trio?
Vermouth..
He looked at Gin speechlessly for a moment, only after realizing he was serious did she speak slowly, his voice coming out with some difficulty: "Your idea.."
He paused, finding a relatively suitable adjective: "Very constructive."
It was unclear whether it was meant as sarcasm.
Gin didn't care either.
He thought, of course, it was very constructive—having three undercover agents working together on a mission..
—But you're not bad yourself, mentioning three Undercover agents right away.
The Whisky Trio.. might as well just call them the "Whisky Undercover Trio."

Author's Note: (1) Amuro, seriously, you really don't need to worry this much. Who told you to face off against the big boss of the Liquor Group?
(2) Let's talk about that later.
..
In Detective Conan, it seems like everyone with high combat prowess has studied some form of martial arts—such as Karate, Aikido, Jeet Kune Do, or Boxing—so I added Taekwondo.
But personally, I feel this isn't actually scientific. When a real fight breaks out, it's all just a chaotic brawl, isn't it? While having learned techniques might provide some advantage, who actually fights strictly by the book like they learned..
Besides, when it really comes down to fighting, people who learned it on the streets should have the advantage.
