Chapter 67(1 / 1)

..

Akai Shuichi felt that Gin seemed to be spacing out—which was truly rare.

And the truth was, it was so.

Even though Gin himself would never admit it.

He just thought of that fellow who popped up from time to time, although.. she seemed to appear a bit much today.

Gin was not a picky eater, but his tone was incredibly arrogant. It wasn't that he didn't eat, it was just that "the way he forced himself to swallow things he disliked was truly uncomfortable to witness."

The second half of that sentence came from Shiratori Midori. Gin didn't understand; although he didn't like it, he hadn't shown much disdain. How could he have seen that he was "forcing it down"?

How could she be that delicate?

It was just that the girl always liked to meddle in other people's business, just as she had done before by collecting his preferences for Brandy; when they lived together, she would always find various ways to cook, trying to find things he liked to eat so that he would eat a little more.

It was not the first time he had eaten Hotpot.

Satay sauce, sesame oil, coriander, seafood sauce, vinegar, sesame paste, a little bit of Thousand Island dressing.

A few ordinary ingredients; she experimented for a long time before finding the most suitable ratio, then, every single time, she mixed them with perfect precision.

He was never the impatient type when it came to doing such things.

So even though someone had already told him the recipe and said she could make it himself if she wanted to eat it while he was away on a mission, he had never once done it.

Gin privately thought that she was being trained by him to become a top-tier chef; if she stopped being an Assassin in the future, she might just shine in that field.

But there would be no future.

He watched the beef slices in the hotpot gradually change color, but he picked up a slice and dipped it in soy sauce.

As expected, it was not the same flavor.

Ding—ding—

The doorbell rang.

"It should be the delivery." Sheila put down his chopsticks and stood up to walk toward the entryway.

Two delivery men were waiting at the door, carrying several boxes. Akai Shuichi's gaze swept over them, then he put down his chopsticks.

Sheila blinked, then turned with a smile and walked into the hall. "This is the place. Please just leave it on the coffee table."

The two delivery men seemed stunned by his beauty, remaining silent for a moment. Sheila curled his lips into a tolerant smile; she had truly seen too many people captivated by his looks: "I'll trouble you both."

"Not at all, not at all." The delivery guys snapped out of their daze and shook their heads repeatedly as they approached the coffee table.

"You seem to have arrived a bit late," Sheila said casually, his eyes curving into crescents.

"There was some traffic on the road," a slightly thin man explained with a simple, honest smile.

Traffic?" Heine thought thoughtfully, "Coming all this way despite the traffic; you're truly dedicated.

".. It's only right. We can't just keep the guests waiting indefinitely," the slightly stout one said, his expression beginning to stiffen.

"There are five dishes in total, yet two people came to serve them." Akai Shuichi's tone was very calm, his gaze as sharp as ever.

Gin's fingers tapped the tabletop rhythmically. Once Akai's words had landed, he raised his eyes. "Come out, all of you."

A bloodthirsty, cold sneer curled at the corners of his lips.

As his words fell, Borse lunged forward. While his thumb flicked the safety off, he aimed the dark muzzle of the handgun at one of them and pulled the trigger without so much as a blink.

Bang—

Author's Note: Sheila Little Fairy is online!

Daphne and Artemis both originate from Greek mythology.

When describing Sheila's appearance, my first reaction was xx and xx (censored, you guess! O(∩_∩)O *pokes tongue out*), but I changed it later; after all, those two have different styles.

Once you see that I said she is half Z Country, you all will know she isn't just a simple trophy girl, lol 23333

Gin has a heavy filter for Shiratori Midori, but Shiratori Midori also has a heavy filter for Gin!

By the way, I feel bad for that last group of people; if you had come at a different time, you would have definitely.. well, I suppose the outcome would have been the same.

..

I originally planned to post this chapter tomorrow.. However, I realized that I actually forgot to thank the mine-layers in the previous chapter..

Chapter 50 Chapter 48 Facing Akai Shuichi's green eyes, lightly..

Not many people had arrived; including those two fake delivery guys who thought they were actually delivering food, there were only ten people in total.

Although the skill level of these ten people could be considered decent, they certainly couldn't be called experts—at the very least, they were no match for the individuals from Akai Shuichi's Ability Evaluation.

It was just their bad luck that they happened to run into the Black Organization's small gathering; if not for Heine's sudden whim, perhaps they..

Well, the outcome wouldn't change much either.

Gin was quite clear about Heine's strength, as for Sheila, considering this girl could pass the ability test that Heine had specifically 'enhanced' back then, she didn't seem to be just a beautiful vase without substance.

However, if it were two against ten, injuries would still be unavoidable.

Unfortunately, there are no maybes.

The opposing side had suddenly gained several more members, none of them were lacking in skill; the ones suffering were the Delivery Group 1, who had been toyed with by Fate.

Borse took the initiative, claiming a kill the moment he lunged forward; Heine followed closely behind, kicking his chair away to block another person's bullets, then drawing his Glock 18 to aim during the opening.

As the gunshot rang out, blood splattered everywhere.

He was already a first-class, even super-class, marksman; even if he wasn't using a Sniper Rifle, his accuracy was beyond reproach.

The opponent's coordination was quite tacit; only a few seconds after Gin finished speaking, the hidden individuals slipped in. Unfortunately for them, our side was simply too powerful; these few seconds were enough to harvest two heads and seize the initiative.

There were eight people left, but they were all armed.

Even though Heine's Villa was spacious and bright, the space was still cramped for a professional firefight.

So Sheila pivoted on his ankle, lunging forward without hesitation to close the distance with one of them. With a cold expression, he gripped the other's shoulder with his left hand, hooked and turned his right foot, pressed his right elbow into the abdomen, exerted force with a side-step—

In the next second, the world spun wildly in that unlucky fellow's field of vision, followed immediately by a sharp pain radiating from his back.

Meanwhile, Sheila had already used that previous move to use his opponent's body as cover. While the others hesitated, he snatched the handgun the moment his opponent fell, then raised his right hand and delivered a single shot to the head.

His movements were so smooth and fluid, truly worthy of the girl who had suppressed Kiel and earned the title of the strongest Female Cadre in the Executive Department in recent years.

Akai Shuichi's reaction was equally swift. In the blink of an eye, the SIG-P226 handgun appeared in his hand. He raised it to aim, yet still took a moment to glance at Gin from the corner of his eye. "Do you want to keep the target alive?"

"No need." Gin leaned back in his chair and spoke indifferently.

With his answer, Akai pulled the trigger—

As expected, no one was left alive.

With two melee fighters controlling the situation, the two professional Snipers didn't join the fray, instead avoiding bullets while finding every opportunity to provide fire support as a small gesture.

However, there were others who were even more idle.

Gin's hand had just reached for his □□M92F when Borse had already fired; he had just turned his gaze toward another person when Heine had already kicked the chair; he had just raised his hand to aim at someone when Sheila had already rushed forward; he had finally encountered a lone target attempting a sniper shot, thinking, "You've just walked into my trap," and was preparing to shoot, but Akai Shuichi had already sent him to hell.

Gin: ……

Why is it so hard to get a kill?

He turned his gaze to the left, where Heine was focused on aiming without any distractions; he shifted his gaze to the right, Akai Shuichi seemed to sense something, turning to look at him with a hint of confusion.

Gin averted his gaze, no longer sparing a single glance for the two of them.

Not far away, Borse was also not losing in combat; he was not particularly robust in stature, because he was Asian, his frame was not as large as Gin's or Heine's, he lacked an advantage in strength. Therefore, his initial positioning was as a technical fighter; he used a series of combos combined with the dirty tactics of street brawling without any hesitation, showing no sense of image at all.

Gin paid him no more attention.

Heine's strength went without saying, he also acknowledged Akai Shuichi's abilities—not to mention that this guy was not someone who died easily. He had also trained Borse for a period of time, whereas Sheila—

Although he had likely heard of Sheila's excellence and knew of Heine's discernment, after seeing Sheila in person—

Generally speaking, people who are exceptionally good-looking, especially women, often find that others underestimate their abilities.

After all, you can make a living just by relying on your looks, so why bother with strength?

Although Gin was not one to judge people by their appearance, knowing the abilities of the others present, it was inevitable that he would pay more attention to Sheila.

So, those cold green eyes glanced over—

Sheila's fair calves had already hooked around a man's waist. Gin thought, somewhat inappropriately, that this girl might expose himself today in that dress, but then he saw the Little Fairy use the momentum to twist and lean back to evade the attack, before pressing the Trigger against the opponent's temple.

Bang—

Red and white brain matter splattered all over the great beauty. Sheila carelessly wiped his face with his hand, his gaze a mixture of excitement and satisfaction, his two pools of blue eyes filled with a wild radiance, like stardust falling into a turquoise lake.

A playful and innocent smile remained on his face as she licked his canine tooth with his tongue.

Gin: ……

It seemed he didn't need to worry about being exposed; even if he were seen, this boy had already recommended a one-way ticket to the Sanzu River.

Gin thought coldly.

He slumped in his chair, appearing to have nothing left for him to do.

However, he wasn't the type of person who insisted on doing everything himself; it wasn't a bad thing to let others handle the trouble while he took it easy.
