Chapter 127(1 / 1)

She tilted her head, looking toward the white bones on the ground with a meaningful gaze, a somewhat cruel smile appearing on her face. "Even the need for a burial is spared."

Akai Shuichi withdrew his gaze, glanced at the bone fragments on the ground, twitched the corner of his mouth. "Yeah.. in three or five years, I'll end up just like them.. I don't care for that ending."

He was just about to complain a few words when he heard the other's nonchalant reply: "Then don't die."

Akai Shuichi froze, blinking his eyes slightly as he instinctively tried to discern Gin's expression, but the latter had already turned away to continue searching for clues.

So he stood there, unmoving.

Three seconds later, he slowly let out an "oh."

Then he turned around as well, searching for any possible clues.

..

I don't think this looks much like the end point." After observing for a while, Akai Shuichi spoke first, his voice deep: "But—

But the mechanism to open the Passage.. where is it?

Gin's gaze fell upon the light switch by the door.

You suspect it's that?" Following his gaze, Akai also discovered the low-profile little switch. He then looked up at the incandescent lamp that was still tirelessly creating a terrifying atmosphere on the ceiling. "Are you sure?

The lights were already on when they came in.

If the light switch on the wall is not a Disguise, then—

Or perhaps they forgot to turn off the light when they left." Gin spoke slowly, pointing out the suspicion, her gaze falling upon the corridor outside the door. "What do you think?

"It's also possible they did it on purpose." As he spoke, Akai actually agreed more with Gin's judgment; he simply took a step forward, placing his uninjured hand above the button.

"Should I do it?" he asked.

Gin nodded slowly.

Akai Shuichi's fingertips tightened.

..

With a dull sound, the wall on the right slowly moved, scattering dust and humming continuously as it shifted.

The mechanism seemed quite old, or perhaps the wall was simply too heavy—it moved incredibly slowly. About five minutes passed sluggishly before a Passage roughly one person wide was finally cleared.

As the wall moved, the skeleton became unsteady. Gin quickly reached out to steady it, then, once the movement stopped, tossed the skeleton back into its place with a look of profound disgust.

Akai made no comment on such crude and violent behavior. He glanced at the moved Passage and asked, "Shall we go?"

Let's go." Gin's answer was decisive, but just as Akai took his first step, this big shot coldly blocked him: "Wait.

Akai Shuichi felt a sense of confusion and turned his head toward Gin. "What is it?"

The Silver-haired youth gave a soft chuckle, Akai suddenly had a very unpleasant premonition.

Under the cool, bright light, Gin slightly raised an eyebrow and said slowly, "Strip off its clothes."

Akai: …………!!

Chapter 96 Chapter 92 Just Like.. Someone Who Ate a Poisoned Apple..

"Stripping clothes" sounded quite ambiguous, but in the current situation—

Akai Shuichi gave a bitter smile. "Can I refuse?"

Gin did not answer him, merely tilting his chin up slightly, his cold green eyes looking at him coldly, silently expressing his attitude.

Akai Shuichi sighed, "I hope this Woman won't blame me."

Gin blinked and curled the corners of his mouth into a slightly mocking smirk. "Don't worry, this 'Woman' won't jump up and beat you up."

Akai Shuichi: "……"

However—" Her voice trailed off slightly as Gin tilted her head, a faint trace of amusement flashing in her eyes. "If you don't do it, I'll take matters into my own hands.

"I understand," the black-haired youth replied helplessly, then began—stripping off his clothes.

..

For them, with their electronic devices essentially broken and without any pen or paper on them, finding clues regarding these Skeletons was truly difficult—at least Akai Shuichi did not think the owner of this place would leave the doors wide open to welcome them with a "Welcome" and a smile like the Waiter at the Cake shop.

Therefore, Akai Shuichi could understand why Gin needed to take this obviously abnormal dress away as a clue.

—As long as this thing isn't in his hands.

So, being a subordinate is hard, but being Gin's subordinate is even harder.

Not only must one risk one's life in the most perilous situations, but one must also satisfy the various absurd demands of the Boss.

Tsk—

The passage was not wide, at least not enough to allow two large men to walk side by side, so Gin naturally took the position in the rear.

Akai Shuichi, walking ahead, had no negative reaction to his vital points being exposed to Gin. At the very least, for the time being, the two were in the same boat, the possibility of Gin attacking him at this moment was minimal.

Compared to the previous stretch of the road, this passage seemed a bit shorter, taking only about a minute and a half, the originally narrow passage seemed to gradually become more spacious.

Once the path expanded to its constant width, Akai Shuichi stopped walking.

"What's wrong?" Gin's hoarse voice came from behind him, carrying its usual calm and indifference.

The familiar Voice seemed to possess a unique charm, at least enough to make the Ace Agent ahead calm down instantly; he paused, seemingly trying to compose his words, but in the end, he gave up on the futile effort.

“You.. come over and see for yourself, then you'll know.” Akai Shuichi managed to force these words out with some difficulty.

The passage was wide enough for the two to walk side by side. Upon hearing that, Gin gave Akai Shuichi a slightly hesitant glance. Having gained some understanding of his Companion's personality by now, he prepared himself mentally and stepped forward two paces without further hesitation.

“……”Even though he had already prepared himself, Gin still couldn't help but feel a pang of unease, his brow furrowing as he lowered his gaze.

Not far away lay a female corpse, both complete and broken.

It is called complete because, at first glance, all the Parts on her body seem to be present; it is called broken because these Parts are not a single whole.

Its hand was assembled from individual Fingers and a whole Palm, her leg was composed of Thighs, Shins, the Sole and Toe bones, even the Head was made of pieces of broken Meat chunks.

Some parts were sewn together with needle and thread, while others remained scattered, merely arranged into a rough shape.

This female corpse looked as if a young child were playing with a Puzzle, assembling various Parts into a final form; or as if a Girl were playing a Paper drawing game, designing the desired results for each part of the body.

The parts sewn with needle and thread were remarkably precise and the stitches were tight; even the color of the thread was made to match the color of the corpse perfectly. If one did not look closely, one would not detect anything unusual at all.

There was a faint scent of formalin in the air, all the parts of the female corpse had been treated with preservative, making her look exactly as she did when she was alive.

If one ignored the eerie and terrifying sense of strangeness, this assembled woman was clearly quite beautiful.

She had pale, lifeless skin; her eyes were closed as if she were sleeping; her eyelashes were thick, like two small fans; her eyebrows were long and curved; her lips were small and tightly closed, her fingers were long and beautiful, with rounded and neatly trimmed tips; her waist was slender, her legs were long, her collarbones were exquisite, her body curves were top-tier and beautiful.

Even her slightly curled toes appeared delicate and lovely.

However, the female corpse had no hair, her bare scalp seemed to be missing something.

"Could the previous blonde hair have been—" Akai Shuichi proposed a guess.

Gin shook her head hesitantly. "The person who arranged this.. has a deep obsession with this woman. If this woman is truly the blonde one, there would be no need for the female corpse's hair to be empty."

Akai thought for a moment, then agreed with his view: "Shall we continue forward?"

As the area of exploration deepened, the two men uncovered more and more secrets. Although it looked quite dangerous, neither Akai nor Gin was a man prone to cowardice.

Even facing such a gruesome scene, the two of them seemed quite eager to try.

Gin nodded and was about to walk forward when something at his feet caught his attention.

It was a white object in the shape of a sphere, looking somewhat like a glass bead, but significantly larger than an ordinary glass bead.

Gin lowered her head and picked up the white sphere, her blue-green eyes scanning the surroundings, only to spot another identical white bead not far away.

The texture of the white beads was very strange; they were not plastic, nor did they look like metal. They were pure snow-white and devoid of any impurities. For a moment, Gin could not even distinguish what they actually were.

Bending down to pick up the other white bead, the Silver-haired youth examined them closely for a few seconds before finally giving up on his research. He glanced at Akai beside him, opened his hands, asked, "This thing—do you have any idea what it is?"

Akai Shuichi also examined the pair of beads, after about half a minute, the black-haired youth shook his head honestly, "No."

She paused, then held up the short-sleeved dress he was holding and made a suggestion, "How about you take it first? Just like this dress."

Gin pondered for a few seconds, then nodded and closed his right hand, looking back at Akai again. "Continue."

The path ahead was very flat. Compared to the previous section, this road seemed to have been deliberately renovated, maintaining a certain level of neatness and order; there were even floorboards laid on the ground, which surprised both of them.

The further they walked, the more silent Gin became. Seeing his silent demeanor, Akai Shuichi was clearly somewhat worried. After the silence lasted for several minutes, he finally could not help but take the initiative to speak: "Are you alright?"

Gin blinked as if waking from a dream. "Of course."

You seem a bit distracted—" If he weren't holding a coat, Akai would likely have reached out to check his temperature: "Have you discovered something?

Gin shook her head, her calm and cold face showing a rare hint of hesitation. After holding the words in his mouth for a few seconds, the Silver-haired youth finally spoke slowly, "I remember.. Nai Lake, not far from this Villa, is quite close—"

Akai Shuichi perfectly understood Gin's unspoken words: "You're worried that—"

Yes." Gin's eyes grew cold and deep. "The passage seems quite long.. I'm worried this area might be close to the lake.

In that case.. if anything goes wrong, I'm afraid they'll end up drowning.

It shouldn't come to that." Akai Shuichi pondered for a moment before dismissing the possibility. "The owner of this Villa seems to place great importance on this Secret Room—

His gaze fell toward the ground, where patterned borders began to emerge across the layered floorboards: "He would have certainly taken this into consideration when it was built."

Gin's gaze also fell upon the floor, after three seconds, he nodded.

..

This flat path was the longest passage they had encountered so far; the two of them walked for a good seven or eight minutes before they finally saw the end.
