Chapter 158(1 / 1)

But Gin was not, so he did not make a move.

Akai Shuichi took advantage of the opportunity: "But I didn't expect it to be Rum—I like you a bit more now."

"You've already said that three times today; try saying something new." Gin said, looking somewhat displeased.

I'd rather face you in combat." Akai Shuichi said with a smile, "When will it be our turn??

Not this time." Gin handled such ambiguous ambiguity well, took the opportunity to retort to what Akai had said at the beginning. After a pause, he continued, "Next time we meet, I won't let you off easy.

Akai closed the already small distance between the two of them even further: "I'm looking forward to it."

Then—until then, don't go getting into trouble carelessly." The Black-haired agent flashed a smile that was very "Rye"—the kind of smile Rye gives Gin—"Don't die at someone else's hands.

“Get through this first before you start talking about 'the future'.. otherwise, you won't have a 'future' at all,” Gin said indifferently, though a hint of a smile flickered in his green eyes.

He raised his hand to brush Akai Shuichi's cheek; the touch was slightly cool.

Now," Gin announced, "Run, Akai Shuichi.

The moment his words fell, the sound of a gunshot rang out.

..

“He still managed to get it from him after all,” Cavendish said with a somewhat reluctant smile, his handsome face showing a hint of childishness. “But Rum has already implemented a blockade; he probably won't get far.”

As he spoke, he set down the handgun in his hand. The moment he turned her head to look at Gin, he saw the latter sitting in a chair, her eyes dark and heavy, as if he were lost in thought.

"What's wrong?" Cavendish asked with concern—not out of any affection for the Black Organization, but simply because Gin's expression looked somewhat terrifying.

"It's nothing," Gin replied indifferently.

Cavendish frowned slightly, intending to ask more, but was interrupted by a voice that suddenly cut in.

“This.. this gentleman, your cocktail..”

The Young waiter in a black suit held a Tray. He had a youthful appearance, despite his best efforts to maintain composure, he could not hide the traces of cowardice and panic while facing two men who were clearly hostile.

Cavendish felt utterly bewildered: "When did I order this cocktail?"

On an elegant wooden tray sat a cocktail of transparent liquid, decorated only by a single, bright yellow lemon peel.

N-no.. it's not what you ordered, it's..

Silver Bullet.

Gin interrupted loudly, "It's for me."

Thus, the waiter's words—"A black-haired gentleman is treating this silver-haired man"—were swallowed back unceremoniously.

However—perhaps he couldn't have asked for more.

The waiter hurriedly presented the cocktail to Gin.

Gin blinked, the moment he took the wine glass, he suddenly thought of the moment the gunshot rang out half an hour ago—

..

The moment the gunshot rang out, the black-haired youth used his free left hand to grab his left hand, pressing closer to him.

Amidst their intertwined breaths, Akai Shuichi's green eyes were clear.

He lifted his gaze slightly to look at Gin's seemingly indifferent face, a hint of mischief flickering in his green eyes.

His eyelashes were indeed long. Akai Shuichi thought.

The next second, the Black-haired youth lifted his head slightly, his cool lips, scented with Gin, brushing against Gin's eyelashes.

It fell upon that unmelting, pale green ice pool.

The freezing pool cracked slightly.

“We will definitely meet again.” The young Ace Investigator spoke each word clearly, staring at Gin's slightly startled and angry expression, ignoring his own fate of being beaten in the next second; his tone was so certain, as if he were stating an unchangeable truth.

Gin curled his lips into a smirk, in the blink of an eye, he raised his right arm and delivered an elbow strike to him. The latter stumbled back several steps, while Gin exposed Akai's position as he freed his left hand.

The silver-haired youth's smile remained unchanged, a hint of bloodthirsty ferocity flickered within his pale blue eyes: "Fine then."

Akai Shuichi raised an eyebrow.

Meeting again..

..

Meeting again..

But it wasn't that simple.

Gin thought about it, while drinking the Cocktail in one gulp,

The moment the last drop of liquid slid down his throat amidst the explosion of intense, sweet and sour flavors, Gin suddenly felt a flicker of curiosity—

—How did he end up ordering this cocktail without even realizing it?

This question may never have an answer.

Or perhaps, there will be an answer next time.

Chapter 119: Interlude 1 "That cat followed Gin away."..

Sheila coughed softly.

She seemed to be coughing frequently lately, which made Heine a bit worried, but the black-haired girl didn't care, simply saying she had a cold.

Although Sheila's physical fitness had always been outstanding, allowing her to traverse mountains and seas without hindrance and even brave hails of bullets, her catching a cold was understandable, considering how common and ubiquitous colds are.

Fortunately, although Sheila had a cold, it wasn't particularly serious. Not only did she not suffer from headaches or fevers, but she didn't even experience nasal congestion or a sore throat.

It was just a cough.

“The season will change in a few days.” Pino was still dressed in her White coat, her expression slightly cold and solemn. Although she still wore that expressionless, zombie-like face that made it impossible to read her emotions, there was nonetheless a hint of indescribable concern in her voice: "Be careful, watch out so your condition doesn't worsen."

Sheila gave a casual response, her eyes curving into crescents and a shallow smile playing on her lips, but it was truly impossible to tell whether she had actually listened.

Pino frowned slightly—which, for her, counted as a rather "vivid" expression—and her voice grew a bit louder: "Don't run around aimlessly, make sure to stay warm."

"Mm-hmm, mm-hmm." The Black-haired girl nodded repeatedly, with loose strands of hair scattered across her forehead. His expression was serious and well-behaved, looking completely innocent.

His blue eyes held a faint smile, as if he were a graceful and serene blue lotus, with fresh lotus leaves and spreading petals, elegant and poised.

The warm breeze intoxicates the traveler.

Unfortunately, Pino is not a traveler; she is a heartless killer.. oh no, a heartless doctor.

"Don't give me that," Pino said coldly.

For a Patient, doctors always have their own unique ways of handling things, such as comforting, persuading, or explaining the consequences, so on..

However, Pino is no ordinary doctor. For years, she has consistently adhered to the philosophy of "life or death, it's none of my business," and her zombie-like expression has driven away countless patients—after all, her performance isn't measured by how many lives she saves, she actually enjoys the peace and quiet when there are no patients.

If you have the guts, why don't you go ahead and complain? Let's see if the bosses—whether it's the Mafia or the Black Organization—will uphold the philosophy of making guests feel at home when they handle it.

However, facing Sheila, this approach clearly did not work.

Whether it was the Mafia (That gentleman) or the Black Organization (Heine), the Boss (female) to whom Pino [female] belonged cared quite a lot about her. Heine [female] went without saying, even That gentleman [male] had expressed, "If it's nothing important, then you should follow her Arrangement."

Well, this is practically like finding himself a master, ORZ.

Did she owe this second young lady in her past life? QAQ

So Pino, who had always done whatever she pleased for ten thousand years, cared about the Patient's feelings for the first time. It was truly a cause for celebration, a cause for celebration.

He urged, "Remember to take your medicine."

Sheila nodded, lifting the two small bottles of pills she had just received from Pino, gave them a shake.

His fingers were as slender as green onions, curving into a beautiful arc; his eyes were as clear as autumn waters, blinking with a delicate, spring-like charm: "Don't worry, don't worry, I'll take them."

Always being so nagging, it makes me feel quite uncomfortable too!

..

When Sheila came to deliver Intelligence, Gin was in the middle of teasing a cat.

Literally, teasing the cat.

It was a white cat with fluffy, soft fur and clear eyes. There wasn't a single stray color on its entire body; from a distance, it looked like a mound of fresh winter snow.

A very beautiful white cat.

Hearing footsteps, Gin stopped what he was doing and looked up at the newcomer.

Sheila gave Gin a slight nod as a greeting. Her eyelashes were long, fluttering a few times as she raised her hand to brush away the stray hairs obscuring her blue eyes.

Over the past year, the two had collaborated many times to investigate the secrets of B. W. Although they were not particularly close, they had become much more familiar with each other than they were at the beginning, at least they no longer needed to engage in hypocritical pleasantries.

Gin tilted her head slightly, which served as an answer.

The White cat let out a soft meow in the Silver-haired man's palm, drawing the attention of the two people present.

This cat didn't look large; it was a soft and adorable Little kitten, it looked quite well-behaved.

As if sensing the stiff atmosphere, the White cat blinked its eyes again and again, then lay across Gin's thigh as if acting well-behaved, letting out another soft "Meow~"
