Chapter 237(1 / 1)

His 'Death' could reduce a lot of unnecessary trouble, after the Organization announced his death, they would only conduct investigations in secret—to prevent his 'defection' from being leaked, to lower the vigilance of those interested in the Organization's secrets so they wouldn't find him first.

For Gin, hiding from the Black Organization as they secretly investigate his whereabouts is far easier than it would be if he were to publicly announce his defection.

And, it also reduced the possibility of some of his Secrets being discovered.

So—why not?

The Silver-haired man's gaze fixed on the shimmering sea, momentarily lost in thought.

And—

He felt a little tired.

The long-awaited Target seems to be only a step away from completion now.

The possible obstacles on the road had been cleared away; at this point, he could finally relax properly.

His long-strained nerves suddenly slackened, a deep exhaustion, spreading from the depths of his heart, surged into his brain without warning.

So tired.

Too tired.

Let me.. rest for a bit.

Just for a moment.. is fine.

Just, for a moment.

He closed his eyes, feeling the gentle sea breeze blowing past his ears, feeling the warm sunlight from the horizon, feeling an unprecedented sense of relief, exhaustion.

..

"It will be very dangerous." Heine advised him indifferently, his blue eyes reflecting the water and sky meeting before him, gathering a clear and pure light.

"I'm not afraid of danger," Gin replied simply.

The conversation between them was extremely relaxed, as if they were not discussing life and death, but rather whether the clothes looked good or the dinner was delicious.

"Okay." Heine gazed at him for a long time before a word of compromise finally escaped his lips.

“But, they—” The Blonde-haired man's gaze shifted toward the two people not far away, his expression cooling slightly. "What is your plan?"

“……” Gin silently cast his gaze toward Akai Shuichi and Amuro Tooru, then slightly turned his head.

The silver-haired man stood against the light, Heine could not make out his face, nor the obscure emotions contained within his green eyes.

Heine only heard his longtime friend, now his partner, say in his usual calm and low voice, "Wouldn't it be better if the Japanese Public Security and the FBI could prove my death through this?"

His analysis was extremely rational, or perhaps, overly rational.

However, just how much complexity was contained within that voice.

Gin tilted her head slightly, a flicker of instability in her gaze that even he herself did not notice, however, that trace of instability vanished into nothingness in the next second.

"You really are cold-hearted," Heine paused, then commented.

His voice was equally muffled.

It is the right choice," Gin said calmly. "I don't think I've done anything excessive.

However, Heine did not respond to Gin's rebuttal.

The blonde-haired man stared at the man before him with a calm, sorrowful gaze, his blue eyes shimmering with an indescribable sense of desolation and a faint, bitter feeling in his heart.

I don't just mean that you can be ruthless toward them.

In Heine's evaluation, no specific names were mentioned.

But thinking about it, he felt there was no need to mention names.

Was this not a fact he had known for a long time?

That's true, Gin has always been ruthless.

Whether toward others, or toward himself.

So, this is why he ultimately failed to take that step..

That man was far too ruthless, whether it was toward himself or toward others.

Even including those who love him, the ones he loves.

..

Does Gin really not know what Heine wants to say?

He knows.

It's just that, once said, it loses all its meaning.

It wasn't that he hadn't realized his own softheartedness, nor that he hadn't thought about.. accepting things he had never once considered before.

But it isn't easy, is it?

And, to be honest, he has no plan to have any more involvement with Akai Shuichi and Amuro Tooru.

After all, they and he were not the same kind of people.

They are on the side of Justice, he is not.

The education he received since childhood was completely contrary to Justice; likewise, he did not believe there was anything wrong with her own principles—even though he knew that, in the eyes of the public, it was wrong.

But the life Gin experienced since childhood was never the kind of life the public leads.

So—

There is no need to dwell on it anymore.

Rather than getting entangled in a struggle that will ultimately fail to reach a proper conclusion, it would be better to let him decide their end first.

Perhaps.. they will feel sincere grief because of his Death.

Maybe.. it will continue for a while?

But thinking about it, Gin thought: it was as good as it could be.

The Silver-haired man let out a long sigh, his eyes carrying a hint of exhaustion, relief.

Send them back safely.

He looked at Heine before him, his features softening slightly in the sunlight, his gaze carrying a hint of a smile.

Gin curled the corners of his mouth slightly, speaking with a rare moment of sincerity:

I'll leave the next part to you." He tilted his head, for a moment actually revealing an expression of innocent joy. "Hine.

Then, amidst Heine's tightly pursed lips and clenched fists, Gin suddenly turned around, bracing himself against the railing with one hand—

The hem of his coat flared high in the air, his ponytail traced a beautiful arc.

"Gin—" / "Gin!" A familiar voice seemed to call out from the distance—

Was there astonishment within it, was there panic, was there.. Emotion that even they themselves had not noticed?

The person being called did not know.

Because he had no room for anything else.

Under the brilliant sunlight, Gin leaped.

The sea splashed up a massive spray of water.

-----------------------

Author's note: I think very few of you will be able to imagine this scene..

Why didn't Gin pursue how Akai Shuichi had arrived? Why didn't he continue to ask how much Amuro Tooru actually knew?

Because he felt there was no need.

Although I really want the story to reach its grand finale immediately, this is a crucial turning point for the emotions.

Ahhh, Gin is really difficult to deal with, why is falling in love so exhausting QAQ

Chapter 182: Chapter 166 Lest I am angered to death by you..

He heard the sound of the Waves.

Countless waves of sea water surged toward him, flooding into his mouth and nose, he faintly tasted the salty taste of seawater.

The water ripples were soft and formless, yet they submerged him with an irresistible force. He closed his eyes, experiencing the suffocating sensation of drowning amidst a dark and silent void.

This was a feeling he had never experienced before.

His brain sank into a deep chaos. His reason told him that he should save himself now, but his thoughts felt as if they were shackled. The exhaustion spreading from the depths of his heart was like a fierce beast that swallowed everything, gnawing away at his sanity bit by bit.

Get some good sleep..

Everything you wanted to do, you have already finished, haven't you?

All the Silver Bullet research materials have been gathered. Even if it is only to save his sister, Heine will not let go of this lifeline.

Sheila already knew of Midori's existence, he had promised to give Midori a portion of the researched Solution.

Nana had also been protected, everything was over.

You didn't have.. many attachments to begin with, did you?

Gin is not a weak man, but at this moment, he is simply too tired.

So tired that he wanted to have a good rest..

Just for a moment would be enough.
