Chapter 68(1 / 1)

"What are you laughing at?" he asked.

"I'm not laughing," Gojo Satoru said, but his eyes curved even more sharply.

Tu Bai stared at him for a few seconds before suddenly speaking:

You are quite good-looking.

Gojo Satoru blinked. "Thank you for the compliment, Rabbit King."

Barely worthy of the Rabbit King," Tu Bai continued, his chin held high. "From this day forward, you shall be the Rabbit King's Princess.

Several Guards nearby gasped in shock.

Tu Bai ignored them and continued looking at Gojo Satoru: "He is also my child's father."

As he spoke, he patted his abdomen.

Gojo Satoru's smile faltered for a moment.

He watched Tu Bai pat his abdomen, seeing that matter-of-fact expression in those Red Eyes, he suddenly felt a pang of bitterness in his heart.

Xiao Bai really thought that was a Child.

He was truly striving to provide protection for that Child [male].

What's wrong?" Tu Bai saw that he wasn't speaking and frowned. "Unwilling?

Gojo Satoru snapped out of his thoughts, a smile returning to his face.

I am willing," he said, his tone incredibly sincere, "It is my honor, Rabbit King.

He stood up, walked to the side of the Throne, leaned down before Tu Bai, reaching out to grasp That hand which he had placed on the Armrest.

Tu Bai froze for a moment, attempting to pull his hand back, but he couldn't budge it.

Gojo Satoru lowered his head and lightly pressed a kiss onto the back of his hand.

A warm touch.

Tu Bai's ears twitched again.

"I'll leave my care in the hands of the Rabbit King from now on," Gojo Satoru said, lifting his head and looking at him with bright eyes.

Tu Bai stared at him for a few seconds, then let out a huff and pulled his hand back.

That's enough, step back," he said. "Someone will arrange accommodation for you.

Gojo Satoru nodded and stepped aside.

Tu Bai glanced at him again, then waved his hand and said to the person beside him, "Dismissed, dismissed. That's all for today."

The Guards felt a sense of relief and hurriedly withdrew.

Only Tu Bai and Gojo Satoru remained in the Fortress.

Tu Bai stood up and walked up to Gojo Satoru, looking up at him—this man was truly tall, a good head taller than him.

Are you truly willing?" he asked, his voice dropping slightly, "To be my Princess, the Father of my Child?

Gojo Satoru looked down at him, seeing the hint of uncertainty hidden within those Red Eyes.

"Really," he said, his Voice very soft.

Tu Bai stared at him for a few seconds, then nodded.

Fine," he said. "Then don't regret it.

He turned around and walked toward the depths of the Fortress. After a few steps, he stopped again and looked back.

Your name is Gojo Satoru?

Yes.

Gojo Satoru," Tu Bai recited, frowning. "I feel like I've heard that name somewhere before.

Gojo Satoru stood in place, saying nothing.

Tu Bai shook his head and continued walking inward.

"See you tomorrow," he said, then left without looking back.

Gojo Satoru watched his figure disappear at the End of the Corridor, a slow smile spreading across his lips.

Even though he had lost his memory.

But he still remembers that he must provide protection to the Child.

He remembered his name—it "seemed like something he had heard somewhere before."

Gojo Satoru stood in place, his hands in his pockets, feeling the Crystal Ball.

Take it slow.

He will make Xiao Bai remember.

Even if he can't remember, it doesn't matter.

Anyway, he would always stay by his side.

Outside the window, the night sky of Meteor City was still a hazy gray, with no stars in sight.

But Gojo Satoru felt that this was the best day he had since arriving in this world.

Chapter 40

On Day 2 after Gojo Satoru settled into the Fortress, the entire District 3 knew—the Rabbit King had a Princess.

Silver hair, Blue Eyes, good-looking, a smile that makes it impossible to look away. Most importantly, this person is terrifyingly efficient when it comes to getting work done.

It only took him one day to clean up Rabbit King's messy "Palace." He cleared out the trash, threw away the broken furniture, somehow obtained several pieces of clean cloth to spread over the Throne and place by the Bedside. He even wiped down the Windows, making the light streaming in much brighter than before.

Those under the Rabbit King were left staring in dumbfounded amazement.

This.. is this still our crappy Old Place?

Who is that person?

I heard it's a Princess that the Rabbit King took in himself.

Princess? A man?

What's wrong with being a man? As long as he's good-looking, it's fine.

Gojo Satoru walked past them, casting a smiling glance their way. The group immediately fell silent, bowing their heads and pretending to be very busy.

He walked into the room inside, where Tu Bai was lying on the "bed"—which was actually just a platform made of wooden boards, but Gojo Satoru had laid several layers of cushions on it, making it much more comfortable to lie on.

Rabbit King," Gojo Satoru said, sitting by the bedside, "It's time to eat.

Tu Bai rolled over, his face toward the wall, his voice muffled: "Not hungry."

You have to eat even if you're not hungry." Gojo Satoru reached out and gently turned him over. "The thing in your belly is hungry.

Tu Bai froze for a moment, then looked down at his abdomen.

He curled his lips and sat up.

Gojo Satoru passed over a plate containing several items—a soup made from wild vegetables obtained from somewhere, some roasted rations, a small piece of meat from some unknown animal. The ingredients were limited, but he had prepared them well, they looked appetizing.

Tu Bai took the plate and took a bite.

It tasted good.

He took another bite.

Gojo Satoru watched from the side, his eyes filled with laughter.

While Tu Bai was eating, he suddenly remembered something and looked up at him: "Have you eaten?"

"I have," Gojo Satoru said.

What did you eat?

The same as you.

Tu Bai stared at him for a few seconds, then lowered his head and continued eating.

After finishing his meal, Gojo Satoru put away his plate and returned.

Rabbit King, is your waist sore?" he asked. "Let me massage it for you.

Tu Bai blinked. "How did you know my back would be sore?"

Gojo Satoru maintained his smiling expression. "Just a guess."

He reached out, flipped Tu Bai over, made him lie face down on the Bed, then pressed his hand against his lower back and began to massage it gently.

The pressure was just right, the positioning was precise. Tu Bai closed his eyes in comfort, his Rabbit Ears drooping softly.

"You.. used to give massages to people?" he asked, his voice a bit muffled.

"I've given massages to someone very important," Gojo Satoru said.

Tu Bai did not ask any more questions.

After the massage, Gojo Satoru brought over another cup of water. It was warm, neither hot nor cold.

Tu Bai took the water, took a sip, looked at him.

"What did you do before?" he asked.

Many things," Gojo Satoru said. "Teaching, fighting, finding people.

Looking for someone?

Yeah." Gojo Satoru looked at him, his eyes shining, "I'm looking for someone who is very important to me.

Tu Bai froze for a moment.

The "very important person" that person mentioned, could it be..

He averted his gaze and stopped asking.

At night, Gojo Satoru came again.
