Tu Bao replied with a crying face:
【Are you looking down on Brother?】
No.
【You're just being picky】
Tu Bai felt helpless and typed:
[I really didn't. I'll go see you in a couple of days. I'll bring something delicious.]
Tu Bao replied with a Rabbit Nodding emoji.
Tu Bai smiled and put down his Mobile Phone.
He lay back on the Bed again, hugging Gojo Satoru's Pillow, staring blankly at the Ceiling.
His brain was a mess, filled with Gojo Satoru's words one moment, the sound of him calling him "Baby" the next, then..
As he thought, his head began to smoke.
He buried his face in the Pillow.
Anyway, I won't run anymore.
---
The lock clicked.
Tu Bai looked up and saw Gojo Satoru pushing the door open and walking in.
He was carrying a bag in his hand, with the logo of that Dessert Shop Tu Bai was familiar with printed on it.
"Awake?" Gojo Satoru walked over and sat by the bedside.
Tu Bai nodded.
Gojo Satoru took a box out of the bag, opened it, inside were Strawberry Daifuku.
"Do you want some?" he asked.
Tu Bai looked at the box of daifuku, then looked at Gojo Satoru's face.
That man looked at him with a smile, his eyes shining.
Tu Bai reached out his hand, took one, took a bite.
The flavors of Cream and Strawberry melted in his mouth.
"Is it delicious?" Gojo Satoru asked.
Tu Bai nodded.
Gojo Satoru laughed and reached out to rub his hair.
Then eat more," he said. "You need to be full to have strength.
Tu Bai chewed on the daifuku and asked indistinctly, "What for?"
Gojo Satoru leaned close to his ear and whispered something.
Tu Bai's face turned red in a Moment.
He glared at Gojo Satoru, but with his mouth stuffed with daifuku, he couldn't speak.
Gojo Satoru laughed, pulling him into his arms along with the Small Blanket.
Just teasing you," he said. "Eat your fill and go to sleep.
Tu Bai leaned against his chest, continuing to chew on the daifuku.
It has grown dark outside the window.
The lights were on in the Room, making it feel warm and cozy.
Tu Bai suddenly remembered something.
"Senpai," he spoke.
Hmm?
Have you thought about the third thing you mentioned before?
Gojo Satoru was stunned, then he laughed.
"I've thought it over," he said.
What is it?
Gojo Satoru lowered his head and whispered a few words into his ear.
Tu Bai's ears, which had only just returned to a normal temperature, instantly turned red again.
He pushed Gojo Satoru away: "You!!"
Gojo Satoru dodged with a laugh, but his hands still held him.
"You asked for this," he said.
Tu Bai glared at him, glared for two seconds, then couldn't help but laugh.
He buried his face in Gojo Satoru's chest and murmured softly, ".. Pervert."
Gojo Satoru lowered his head and kissed the top of his hair.
"I'm only a rogue for you," he said.
Tu Bai said nothing, only shrinking further into his embrace.
Outside the window, the night in Tokyo was deepening.
Inside the room, two people were holding each other, chatting in fits and starts.
An ordinary Night.
But Tu Bai felt that this was the most peaceful day he had slept in a long time.
Chapter 56
The following days passed peacefully.
Gojo Satoru went to Jujutsu High and went on missions as usual, but he would return on time every day. Sometimes he would bring desserts, sometimes he would bring late-night snacks, sometimes he would bring nothing at all, simply sitting on the sofa watching Tu Bai do his homework.
Tu Bai's body slowly recovered. He no longer suffered from morning sickness or excessive sleepiness, even his emotions had become much more stable. However, he still habitually rubbed his abdomen, sometimes staring blankly while doing so.
Gojo Satoru saw it a few times, but said nothing.
On the evening of Day 6, the two of them were curled up on the Sofa. The TV was on, playing some Variety Show, but neither of them was watching.
Tu Bai leaned into his embrace, his Finger unconsciously playing with the drawstring of his Hoodie.
Gojo Satoru held him with one arm while using the other to handle messages on his Mobile Phone.
The night outside the window was very quiet, with only the occasional sound of a passing car.
Tu Bai suddenly spoke.
Senpai.
Hmm?
There's something I've never told you.
Gojo Satoru looked down at him. Tu Bai didn't look up, still playing with that belt, but his movements slowed down.
What is it?
Tu Bai fell silent for a few seconds.
The person who caught me before," he said. "Do you remember?
Gojo Satoru's hand paused for a moment.
I remember.
Tu Bai finally raised his head and looked at him.
That person looks exactly like the Geto Suguru we met in the parallel world.
Gojo Satoru's expression remained unchanged, but the arm around him tightened slightly.
Tu Bai continued, "But what's different is—he has a Suture on his forehead."
Gojo Satoru's eyes narrowed slightly.
What did he say his name was again.." Tu Bai recalled, "I think it was something like.. I can't quite remember!
The person in his arms stiffened for a moment.
It was only for a moment, but Tu Bai felt it.
He looked up at Gojo Satoru.
Gojo Satoru's expression was very calm. But the light in those Blue Eyes changed, becoming completely different from usual—not gentle, not lazy, but something deeper, so cold that it made one afraid to look for long.
It was the first time Tu Bai had seen him with such a Gaze.
Senpai?
Gojo Satoru said nothing.
He just stared ahead, watching the Variety Show Guests jumping around on the TV Screen, but he clearly wasn't actually looking at them.
His arm was still tightening. Tu Bai could feel that hand clenching into a fist; the pressure against his waist was so great it was almost painful, his knuckles were turning white.
Tu Bai did not cry out in pain.
He leaned quietly in his arms, waiting for him to speak.
The silence lasted for a long time.
The laughter from the TV came in bursts, completely clashing with the stagnant air in the room.
Finally, Gojo Satoru spoke.
