"Chapter 28(1 / 1)

..

This chapter is really long.. I originally wanted to split it into two chapters, but on second thought, I decided against it. Two-in-one! I wrote this on a plane, so I'm exhausted QAQ

Volume One is nearly finished; next is Volume Two.

Character analysis for Volume 1.. I haven't decided where to put it yet.. In the next chapter, I will write a notice, I will also discuss things like updates in the next chapter..

Chapter 19 Chapter 18 The reason she had previously given the youth to refuse him was indeed..

The days of continuous rain had finally come to an end, the weather began to clear. Occasionally, birds would soar through the azure sky, birds perched on tree branches chirped incessantly. The brownish-yellow down, set against the fresh greenery moistened by the rain, revealed a unique sense of vitality.

The air held a slight dampness, the sunlight spilled down lazily, as if one could see tiny particles shimmering with golden light. These spirits, carrying the warmth of the sun, merged with the water vapor to create a pleasant afternoon.

The campus of Kanagawa Rikkaidai Junior and Senior High School consisted of both a high school and a junior high school division. Most of the lunch break had already passed, some students had begun preparing for their afternoon classes, but many others were still relaxing in their own ways, carrying the leisure of their break.

The campus was enveloped in an atmosphere that was relaxed yet not lax.

This kind of integrated junior and senior high school occupies a large area, with several secluded paths serving as shortcuts to certain teaching buildings and as peaceful spots to enjoy the scenery.

The black-haired girl was walking along one of the paths.

This path wasn't particularly remote, since it was close to the main road, the number of people passing by on a typical day wasn't large, but it was certainly not small either.

The girl carried a light brown sports backpack and held the homework that needed to be turned in for her next class. Her steps were relaxed yet not showing any signs of urgency, appearing as if she was in no rush.

She wasn't exceptionally beautiful, but she was above average in looks. Her black hair fell just above her shoulders, held back by a light brown headband. She was of medium height, with pale lips and a pair of bright, clear green eyes.

Senior Hashimoto—

It was a voice in the midst of puberty.

But it wasn't unpleasant to the ear.

In fact, the mixture of the youth's clear tone and a hint of husky magnetism gave the voice a unique charm.

The youth who spoke was about fourteen or fifteen years old, with a handsome face that carried a hint of rogueish charm. His silver-blue hair gave him a somewhat unconventional look. Though he was not old, he was a head taller than the black-haired girl.

The high school senior known as Hashimoto turned around, her lively gaze quickly turned to helplessness upon meeting the youth's.

You again—

The girl's voice was crisp; although it carried a hint of frustration, she did not sound impatient.

"Ah—" The silver-blue haired youth lowered his head and smiled somewhat sheepishly; he paused, then lifted his eyes, his posture composed:

I have something I want to discuss with you, Sister. I wonder if you have any time after school today?

Hashimoto blinked her eyes. "I recall that the dismissal times for the high school division and the middle school division seem to be different, right?"

That's right." The youth felt there was nothing wrong with that. "I can wait.

I see.." Hashimoto nodded, then tilted her head with a smile. "Unfortunately, I have plans today.

".. Then tomorrow?" The youth blanked for a moment, then continued his proposal, unwilling to give up.

"What if I told you I have plans tomorrow as well?" Hashimoto said in a playful tone.

"I see.. May I ask why?" The youth's eyes dimmed slightly, but he quickly pulled himself together.

Hashimoto clenched her right fist and gripped it with her left hand, asking in confusion, "What do you mean?"

Because, if I'm rejected two days in a row, then unless you really are busy, it means you just don't want to talk to me," the youth confessed. "Whichever the case, I'd really like to know the reason.

You really are blunt," Hashimoto said, somewhat speechless. She paused, then said with a smile, "I really do have things to do today and tomorrow—

But how about the day after tomorrow?

The girl blinked her green eyes.

"Of course," the youth smiled.

Alright, I have to go to class now," Hashimoto said, tilting her head. "But—I still have one more question.

What?

Does your Tennis Club not have any after-school training these next few days?

Ah.. well," the Youth [male] explained, "With the school anniversary preparations coming up, the Tennis Club's after-school training has been temporarily canceled for these few days.

..

Although she was somewhat surprised by the visit from her junior in the third year of middle school, Hashimoto could probably guess why he had come.

—Hmm.. well, aside from the matter she was thinking about, there might be some other reasons.

Setting that aside, yes, setting that aside for now.

However, the reason she gave for refusing the youth before was indeed true.

She did indeed have something to do.

Normally, she would have had plenty of time, but due to the intense studies of her senior year and a teacher running over time, the girl could only accept her bad luck for the delay.

After getting off the tram, she ran all the way, arriving breathless in front of an ordinary-looking apartment. The black-haired girl glanced nervously at her phone and finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Fortunately, there were still three minutes left; she wasn't late.

She straightened her messy hem, panting heavily and struggling to catch her breath. Once she had nearly recovered her composure, she reached out her right hand and pressed the doorbell.

The door opened.

The silver-haired youth who opened the door leaned against the wall, cast her a casual glance, said, "Quite punctual."

"Ah.. haha." The girl ran her hands through her hair, giving an awkward yet polite smile.

"Keep up." The Silver-haired youth dropped a few simple syllables, then turned and walked into the house.

The Black-haired girl, having escaped a disaster, patted her chest and let out a sigh of relief.

She entered the room, closed the door, locked it before quickly catching up to the Silver-haired youth.

The silver-haired youth's appearance had already shed the greenness of his youth, his features showed a hint of overt sharpness.

As his youthful innocence faded, so did the recklessness of his boyhood. The sensitivity forged through trials amidst blood and storms made him appear somewhat unapproachable. He had matured considerably, though he was still some distance from the composed ease he would one day possess. However, the innate desire to test himself against danger made the youth appear fearless.

The youth was tall and lean with well-proportioned muscles, the cold light in his green eyes when facing a mission target made him look like a vigorous and extremely dangerous leopard.

Hashimoto looked at her back, but she didn't think much more of it.

He was merely somewhat dazed; for a moment, the figure before his seemed to overlap with that youth from five years ago.

By the time she snapped out of it, the main event was about to begin.

The girl with short black hair shook her head, warning herself not to get distracted.

In the final second before she focused, the thought remaining in the girl's mind was—

Zhenjun.. seems to have grown a bit taller than five years ago?

Author's Note:

----------------------

Regarding the CP.. to be honest, I'm still struggling with this, and.. for this story, Gin is the protagonist, our very own Gin-ye is going wild! Speaking of which.. I have a premonition of a battlefield of emotions..

.. Also, if you Little Angels are interested, you can add the author's other work in my profile to your collection [facepalm], "Fake Liquor Daily [Conan Main CP]". By the way, the CP for that one has already been decided.

Chapter 20 Chapter 19 Gin Refuses to Answer This Question

Chapter.. Well, after being knocked to the ground countless times, Hashimoto Nana felt completely broken inside.

Especially when she was in pain everywhere—aching from head to toe, exhausted and collapsed on the ground like a dead dog, unable to crawl back up—while the other party remained barely out of breath, with only a light sheen of sweat on their face.

Nana girl's heart wasn't exactly filled with resentment, but! However!

Zhenjun, do you really think crushing noobs is that much fun?

The Youth, looking perfectly composed, glanced at the Black-haired girl and said indifferently, "Get up."

“%##%#%&” Even though her heart was already a mess of scrambled code, the Black-haired girl still stood up obediently—as for whether she was stalling for time, only she would know.

Zhenjun has mistreated me a thousand times over, yet I still treat Zhenjun like my first love.

Silver-haired youth: ".."

Although he didn't know what she was thinking, he had a feeling it wouldn't end well.

Of course, the silver-haired youth, who was already one of the top assassins and leading figures of the Black Organization, would certainly not go out of his way to cause trouble for a female high school girl.

It was neither beneficial nor worth the time.

Today's training is over, let's go.

He uttered a few simple words.

Hearing this, her eyes lit up, she nearly jumped up with a cheer, her heart singing a neon-lit version of the classic 'Xi'er' from the little cabbage field.

Gin gave her a faint glance.

Nana immediately wilted.

The silver-haired youth ignored the girl's expressive facial expressions. He picked up the dark brown Panama hat he had set aside before training and turned to walk upstairs.

He left behind a single sentence: "Keep up."

His movements were as smooth as flowing water, incredibly dashing.

To put it this way, it was incredibly cool and incredibly swaggering.

The girl, who was silently cheering for Gin in her heart, was a few seconds slow to react before immediately dragging her aching legs to Follow.

Wait for me, Azhen!

..

Nana actually knew that Gin was not very satisfied with her training progress.

The Silver-haired youth possessed extraordinary talent and had been outstanding since childhood; her childhood companions were also top-tier and exceptional. Coupled with Gin's naturally arrogant nature, her vision was naturally quite high.

He certainly knew that many people in the world could not compare to his talent, but his attitude toward them had always been, "Don't bother me, you losers."
