Chapter 29(1 / 1)

#

Note: No CP, all characters are just friends.

Kuroko and Kagami-related content follows official IF scenarios, including but not limited to Captain Kiyoshi and Police Officer Aoyama.

The timeline spans from Kuroko Tetsuya's youth to adulthood, with Kuroko Tetsuya corresponding to the Star Plasma Vessel incident (2006) from the original Jujutsu Kaisen.

Kuroko's Shikigami are all from the neighboring Throne of Heroes, but since there is no Mage Association in this world, he himself is a form of possession.

Key points: Shadow Servants, involving elements of Beast of Humanity settings, including Black Mud.

Regarding the quick escape of Teru and Kuroo, I have nothing but malice toward the two of them.

There is a significant amount of abstract modification to the later plot of the original Jujutsu Kaisen, it does not strictly follow the original setting.

Chapter 20: The Twentieth Fox

Withdrawing the smug look he had directed at the Nekoma team, Miya Atsumu waved his hand toward Hinata. "Come on, Shoyo-kun."

Hinata raised his hands high and spiked it directly.

Before he could speak, Miya Atsumu had already said with a smile, "Nice spike."

To coordinate so well on the very first ball—he truly is the wing spiker he set his sights on.

“It's because Atsumu-senpai's set was so good!” Hinata's words were incredibly sincere.

Kashiinayuki, who hadn't reacted at all, was extremely shocked: "What on earth is this.."

He originally thought the twins' Quick Attack was already at its limit, but he didn't expect someone even faster to appear.

He could even jump that high after a 180-degree turn; even with a normal block, he would likely be hit by a direct over-the-top spike.

Yaku's expression was also dead serious.

Completely.. I can't react in time.

Kenma said calmly, "The contact point just now was at least 3.3 meters."

This was a terrifying number for someone of Hinata's height, under normal circumstances, it could easily clear the block.

Kuroo looked at Kenma with some surprise, keenly catching a hint of excitement that couldn't be fully concealed beneath Kenma's calm expression.

Yamamoto felt his scalp tingle. "Inarizaki's quick attacks aren't all at this kind of tempo, are they?"

They don't give you any time to react at all..

Kuroo shook his head. "I don't know, let's wait and see."

Suna, on the other side of the net, makes his second serve.

Suna doesn't have much mastery over the serve itself; rather than the serve, he pays more attention to disrupting his opponents through timing and positioning.

He stared at the referee preparing to blow the whistle, at the exact moment the whistle blew, he raised his hand and tossed the ball into the air.

Thud.

The volleyball flew over the net, landing in front of the protected Kenma on the other side.

Nekoma's receive formation always had Yaku covering two-thirds of the court, which in turn made the positioning of the others more compact.

Currently, Kenma is positioned in the back row, Suna's shot is aimed directly at the path he must take to move forward.

Because his serve was incredibly fast, even Fukunaga, who was positioned in front to receive for Kenma, was momentarily stunned.

With a soft thud, Fukunaga, who had barely managed to react in time, received the ball, but unfortunately, having lost the composure Nekoma always maintained during receives, he sent it flying.

"Kenma!" Yaku shouted loudly.

Kenma was forced to take two quick steps to keep up, jumping to back-set the ball.

Kuroo jumped in the middle, but the volleyball flew past him to Kashiinayuki, who was wide open at position two.

Rishia and Miya Osamu jumped to block at the same time; Miya Osamu and Rishia blocked the direction of Hoshiumi's cross-court spike.

Hinata, who was a bit shorter, proactively adjusted his hand position as Ushijima spiked toward him, using his palm to touch the ball.

With a loud thud, Hinata shouted, "Touch!"

Ginjima quickly followed up from the back row, ready to receive the ball: "Great touch!"

After landing, Hinata ran directly toward Miya Osamu's direction, while Miya Osamu and Rishia both moved toward position four.

The nine-meter distance across the net was covered in only about a second by Hinata's sudden burst of speed.

Seeing that Miya Osamu had already jumped, Hinata took his position and prepared to leap, Kuroo instantly felt a tingling sensation on his scalp.

You have to realize.. the setter over at Inarizaki hasn't even received the ball yet!

But there was no choice; they could only follow.

Kuroo and Fukunaga jumped simultaneously between Hinata and Miya Osamu, attempting to block both of their paths at once.

But this time, Miya Atsumu didn't perform a back set at all; instead, he faced the fourth position and set the ball to Rishia Heisuke.

Rishia, having taken over the role of the ace, leaped high into the air at position four and delivered a powerful spike toward the court, which had no block in front of him.

BANG!!

The spike Rishia delivered slammed heavily onto the three-meter line of Nekoma before bouncing high and landing in the second-floor stands.

Everyone in the Inarizaki waiting area couldn't help but shout, "Nice kill!"

Rishia Heisuke could not suppress the smile on his face at all.

He feels so happy right now; the sensation of spiking over an empty net and hitting the three-meter line is just too amazing!

Aran, in the waiting area, rubbed his hands together, feeling a bit excited. "So, this is what the effect will be?"

Spiking from above the three-meter line is everyone's dream, even for a Setter.

He also wanted to spike that last ball.

So Aran looked at Kita and asked pitifully, "Can you arrange something for me later too?"

Kita said mercilessly, "Ask the coach."

What he said certainly doesn't count; it depends on how Coach Aran arranges things.

Aran was very upset: "My hands are itching—"

He had always been a Wing Spiker; he had never experienced the feeling of being completely ignored by a block.

Kuroo let out a light click of his tongue.

They were completely misled; were both of the Quick Attackers just decoys..

Seeing that the situation was getting out of hand, Coach Nekota stood up and signaled for a timeout.

The situation was getting a bit out of control; the strength displayed by the opposing side was even more formidable and tricky than they had anticipated.

Yamamoto asked immediately, "Is there any way to deal with that Quick Attack?"

They had originally chosen to use one-on-one blocks, but now it was clearly no longer working.

The opposing side had too many offensive options; they couldn't let any of them go unchecked, which would ultimately result in Nekoma being completely torn apart into one-on-one blocks.

Kenma lowered his head in thought for a moment before speaking, "Watch the setter. Move with the ball; don't let them lead you around aimlessly."

Waiting until after the receive before moving is the most stable approach; although there is a possibility of being unable to keep up with the opponent's Quick Attack entirely, once you adapt, you can try to make contact with the ball.

As long as you can touch the ball to reduce its speed, you can leave the rest to the back row to handle.

The others nodded. "Understood."

Kuroo clapped his hands to reassure everyone, "Once Miya Osamu rotates to the back row, the pressure won't be as great. Stay steady, stay steady."

"Should we use a receive to pressure one of them?" Yaku suggested.

This is also a tactic frequently used by Nekoma.

They do not have any players with particularly outstanding serving abilities, so for them, many opponents' serves can be adjusted into targeted tactics.

Whether it's Miya Osamu or Hinata, the simplest way is to use the first receive to suppress one person, then use a one-on-one block to control the other; that should be effective enough.

Kenma spoke up to deny the proposal: "Miya Osamu is very good at receiving; his overall ability is the best in Inarizaki."

Shoyo.. even though his reception isn't great, he can still get the ball up, so for Miya Atsumu, there's basically no difference.

Kuroo suggested, "Then how about targeting the setter directly?"

Yaku spoke up in denial: "Miya Atsumu is well-protected. Although that first-year Libero makes many mistakes at first, his skills are quite formidable once he gets into a rhythm; there is no way Miya Atsumu would be the one to receive the ball."

"Then what are we supposed to do.." Yamamoto Takeshi scratched his head, having no idea how they could possibly counter Inarizaki.

Inarizaki's overall quality is incredibly high, with virtually no specific weaknesses; even their relatively weaker receiving lineup is only weak when compared to Nekoma.

In fact.. they are equally strong.

Most importantly, the current lineup on the court is not Inarizaki's official lineup.

Including the Libero and the Ace, the core of Inarizaki was currently observing from the sidelines.

Kuroo's expression was quite unpleasant.

Is this the composure of a top-tier powerhouse..

In the end, Kenma still provided a temporary solution: "Inarizaki's current level of coordination isn't very good; errors occur during their movement patterns."

“When spiking, try hitting the areas where they move frequently; it can disrupt their overall rhythm.”

If we can just hold on through this period, it'll be fine. As long as we can extend the rally through Nekoma's serve and take control of the momentum, we'll find a way..

The timeout ended, Suna prepared to serve the third ball.

This time, he also chose to serve the ball the moment the referee blew the whistle, resolutely refusing to give Nekoma any time to react.

"I've got it!" The experienced Yaku rushed straight in to receive the ball, then quickly stepped back to make space for the others to move forward.

What a great set!

Kenma's gaze swept across the opponents preparing to block, he raised his hand to send a quick attack over.

Rishia Heisuke extended a foot, cushioning the ball underneath.
